Sell Without Selling Your Soul: terms and conditions

I pride myself on being helpful and flexible, but it's a good idea for us to have an agreement on paper so we both know what to expect. I believe agreements like this should be easy to understand, so I've made sure this one uses clear language.

Having said that, if anything is unclear, ask me. I'll be happy to clarify. You can reach me at [email protected].

In these terms, "I" and "me" means Peta O'Brien trading as Words by Peta, of 8 Westbrook Close, Hungerford, West Berkshire, RG17 0HU. "You" means the person who has bought a place on the programme.

1. What you're buying

A place on Sell Without Selling Your Soul, a sixteen-week live group programme running from Monday 28 September 2026 to Sunday 17 January 2027 [confirm]. Places are limited to ten people.

It includes six fortnightly build cycles and two catch-up cycles, live calls, recordings of every call, the course toolkit, and feedback from me on your writing throughout the four months.

2. The calls

There's one live call each week, on a Tuesday at [TIME] UK time. Some weeks are teaching, some are co-working. Cameras are always optional.

Every call is recorded and available the same day. If I need to move a session because of illness or an emergency, I'll let you know as soon as I can and we'll agree an alternative.

3. Price and payment

The price is £1,000, or £800 with a valid discount code. You can pay in one go, or in four monthly instalments (£250, or £200 with a code).

I'm not registered for VAT, so my prices don't include it.

Instalments are taken automatically by Stripe on the same date each month, for four months. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it automatically. If it still doesn't go through, I'll email you and we'll sort it out. I won't remove you from a call over a bounced payment, though if payment remains outstanding I may pause your access until it's resolved.

Discounts and offers can't be combined with any other promotion running at the same time.

4. Your place is for the full sixteen weeks

Paying monthly is a payment plan rather than a subscription, so places can't be cancelled part-way through, and payments already made aren't refundable.

In return, everything I give you is yours to keep permanently, including all recordings and the toolkit, whether or not you attend every session.

I know that's a firm position, so I'd rather be clear about why. I've written openly about the reasons not to join this programme, and I'd genuinely rather you sat this round out than committed to something that isn't right for you. If you're unsure, email me before you buy and I'll give you an honest answer.

Places aren't transferable to another person.

5. If the programme doesn't run

If fewer than five people join and I decide not to run this cohort, I'll tell you before the start date and refund everything you've paid, in full.

6. What you need before we start

To get anything out of this you'll need one offer you already sell and feel reasonably confident about, a decent sense of who you sell it to, and an email marketing platform on a plan that allows more than one workflow.

Your own subscription to that platform isn't included in the price, and it's worth checking your current plan before you sign up.

7. Feedback, and what I'm responsible for

I'll teach and support you to a professional standard, with the skill and care you'd reasonably expect from an experienced copywriter. I can't guarantee specific results, but I'll work with you to get the best outcome I can.

You can send me anything you're writing during the four months, or bring it to a co-working call, and I'll give you honest feedback on it. I won't rewrite it for you.

What you publish is your decision and your responsibility, including making sure it's accurate, legal, and right for your business. My feedback is advice, not approval.

8. What's mine, and what's yours

The Regenerative Story Framework, the teaching materials, the toolkit and all recordings remain my intellectual property. Your place gives you a personal licence to use them in your own business for as long as you like, including after the programme ends. It doesn't give you the right to share them, sell them, or teach from them.

Everything you write during the programme is entirely yours. I make no claim on your copy, your messaging, or anything you build with it.

9. What's said in the room

You'll hear other people talk about their businesses, their numbers and their work in progress, and they'll hear you. So: what's shared in the room stays in the room. Please don't repeat, screenshot or discuss anyone else's work or business outside the group, and I'll do the same.

Recordings are for the people in this cohort only.

10. Talking about your work afterwards

I may want to write about what you build during the programme, or ask you for a testimonial. I'll always ask first, and no is a perfectly good answer.

11. Things outside our control

Neither of us is liable for a failure or delay caused by something beyond our reasonable control: power or internet failure, illness, civil unrest, fire, flood, storms, acts of terrorism, government action, epidemic or pandemic. If something like that stops me delivering, I'll tell you as soon as I can and we'll agree what happens next.

12. Ending a place early

I can end your place immediately if you seriously breach these terms and don't put it right within a reasonable time of me telling you in writing. That includes behaviour towards me or anyone else in the group that's abusive or makes the room unsafe. In those circumstances no refund is due.

I don't expect ever to use this clause, and it's here so that everyone knows the room is looked after.

13. Your information

Any personal information I collect is handled in line with the Data Protection Act 2018. My privacy policy sets out how I collect, use and store it. I won't pass your details to third parties for marketing.

14. My liability

Nothing here limits my liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

Otherwise, my liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid for the programme. I'm not liable for economic losses such as loss of profits, business, contracts, goodwill, revenue or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

15. Other bits

Us working together doesn't create a partnership, joint venture or employment relationship.

These terms are the whole agreement between us about the programme. If a court finds any part unenforceable, that part goes and the rest stands. If I don't enforce a term straight away, that doesn't mean I've given up the right to enforce it later.

Nobody outside this agreement has rights under it, under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

16. Law

These terms are governed by English law, and the English and Welsh courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
